How To Remove Unwanted Hair
Removal of unwanted hair
Many women and girls have lots and lots of body hair which doesn’t look good on them and they would want it to be removed. It is essential if the hair are on face as it gives manly looks and spoil all the beauty of the female who has them. The unwanted hair can be on face, arms, legs, underarms, belly or on bikini area. These hair can be removed easily and there are two kind of methods by which they can be removed.
1. Temporary Methods: In this the hair removal is for a certain short time and the hair grow again after couple of week or a month.
2. Permanent Methods: In this the hair loss is for a long duration of time and in some cases for whole life. It is costlier than the temporary methods.
3. Hiding hair: by bleaching you can make the shade of hair as that of your skin so from a distance they won’t show but if someone touches you or in very intimate position your partner would know about the hair.
How to get hair removed/masked:
There are many ways in which the unwanted hairs can me masked or removed. They can be masked to skin color or they can be removed for short term, long term or permanently. The most popular of them are
1. Plucking: This method is mostly used for the eye brow hair where the hairs are plucked by a pair of tweezers physically. Painful but effective and hardly any cost.
2. Bleaching: This helps make the hair colour to match that of skin and thus make them difficult to see. No pain and not much cost.
3. Trimming of hair: This method does not involve much cost and is usually done by females on bikini area where some prefer small hair than to no hair. Can be used on neck too.
4. Waxing: This is cheap but very painful method. In this wax is applied on the area which has to be cleaned and then the hair are pulled out with help of sticking
cloth. Very painful procedure as the hair is removed physically.
5. Shaving: Cheap and effective. Not time consuming. Only problem is very short lasting and when hair grows again they are very hard.
6. Epilator: It is an electric devise and it is used to remove multiple hairs simultaneously. Many companies make it and the most famous in India are Philips, Braun, Panasonic and Silk-epil. This method is like waxing but difference is it doesn’t remove cells from skin. The epilators have rechargeable batteries and work on electricity too. No parts usually require replacement.
7. Creams: There are many creams which remove hairs from the body and is not a permanent method. It is pain less and not costly either. But it should be test dosed in a small area to see if you are allergic to the cream or not. The most popular hair removal creams in India are Veet, Anne French, Revitol & Sally Hansen.
8. Electrolysis: In this a fine needle is inserted in the root of hair (hair follicle) and a small electrical current is given to the root of the hair. This way the root of the Hair follicle is burnt and thus making it impossible for the epidermis to produce hair again there. It is very time consuming procedure as it takes several visits for each hair follicle to be destroyed and you have to destroy every hair follicle to be burnt one by one. It is a permanent hair removal procedure and is costly procedure. The main draw backs are 1) it is time consuming. 2) No set guidelines for this procedure so shortage of fully trained technician is very difficult. Though I have been told that some hair removal clinics in WashingtonDC has very good technician. 3) Long sittings in clinics and can over a year to get full results. The side effect of this procedure are pain, infections, keloid formation and hyper or hypo pigmentation.
9. Laser: In this procedure the hairs are removed with the help of laser beam. The skin is not attuned to this so first you have to make the skin ready to receive the Laser treatment. Thus it is not suitable for everyone and it is also not a permanent hair removal technique. Laser emits light at various wavelength, pulse widths and energy outputs. The wavelength has to be very accurate as it would effect the veins in skin and texture of skin. They usually try to burn melanin in the skin. So best for females who have dark hair but light colour skin. Though it doesn’t remove hair permanently but it does retard growth of hair.
10. Natural Remedies: There are few of them which are time tested but not lab tested. Like bleaching of hair can be done with the mixture of Chamomile tea and lemon juice. A mixture of honey, sugar & lemon can be used for waxing. Or a hard stone like a pumice stone can be used for physically removing unwanted hair.
So my friends these are few methods which are most popular in getting rid of unwanted hairs from the body. This
Blog is just to tell you what are the methods available and in no way an authentic study and so before you use any method mentioned in this blog, you are kindly requested to check for yourself about the safety and effectiveness of each procedure. Thanks for reading this blog.
